When I created Xenandros, I was really into Pacific Rim (still am, it's such a fun movie).
I thought their creature design was so cool. A lot of the stuff you can find in the deep sea looks crazy! We know about outer space than we know about our oceans. That's cool (but also kind of scary)
I think Jellyfish are my favorite sea creatures, they are really beautiful and I wanted to design Xenandros with a jellyfish in mind.

When I first designed Xenandros, he was about the same size as G64, but we, as a team, decided that he was not scary enough at his original size, so we ended up scaling him up. after several month of embarrassing nicknames during development, so no one on the team ended up taking him too serious. Poor Xenandros, he tries so hard :)
